Manama-April-28(BNA)His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa today received at Al-Sakhir Palace Supreme Islamic Affairs Council President Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al-Khalifa, who introduced prominent scholars taking part in the 2nd World Conference of Quran Education.
Manama-April-27(BNA) The second World Conference of Quran Education opened today in Bahrain under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.
The Supreme Islamic Affairs Council is organizing the four-day event in cooperation with the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry and the Holy Quran Memorisation International Organisation.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Supreme Islamic Affairs Council President Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al-Khalifa stressed Bahrain's keenness on promoting Quran teachings.
The Secretary-General of Muslim World League (MWL), Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulmohsin Al-Turki visited the Organization of Islamic Da'wah in Khartoum, in the wake of his present tour of Sudan. He was received by Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Field Marshal Abdel Rahman Swar Al-Dahab and the Secretary-General of the Organization, Dr. Muhammad Ali. During the visit, Dr. Al-Turki viewed a film about the Organization's history, events and activities, as well as its progress in the service of Islamic Da'wah.
The Secretary-General of Muslim World League (MWL) visited the African House for Printing the Glorious Qur'an in Khartoum on 6/6/1434 A.H. and met with President of the Board of Directors Dr. Zubair Ahmed Al-Hassan, who explained the activities of the printing house. He pointed out that it is an international charitable institution that focuses on the printing of Holy Qur’an.
The Omdurman Islamic University awarded honorary doctorate in Islamic da’wah to the Secretary-General of Muslim World League (MWL) Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulmohsen Al-Turki in recognition of his efforts in the service of Islam and da’wah work.
He was given this honor during a ceremony organized on 5/6/1434 A.H. by Omdurman Islamic University on the conclusion of its centennial celebrations in the presence of Vice President of Sudan Dr. Al-Haj Adam Youssef in Khartoum.
The Sudanese President Omar Hassan Al-Bashir received the Secretary-General of Muslim World League (MWL) Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulmohsen Al-Turki on 4/6/1434 A.H. at the Guest House in Khartoum and conferred the First-Class Order of Two Niles upon him in recognition of his efforts in the service of Islamic da’wah in Africa and the world.
President Al-Bashir emphasized the keenness of Sudan to cooperate with the MWL and address the issues of Muslims in the African continent. He commended the efforts of Dr. Al-Turki in the service of Islam and Muslims.
The Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) visited the Leader of the Umma Party in Sudan Sadiq Al-Mahdi at his home in Omdurman on 5/6/1434 A.H.
During the meeting, a number of issues related to the problems and challenges of the Muslim Ummah were discussed.
The First Vice President of Sudan Mr. Ali Osman Mohammed Taha inaugurated a seminar on “Islam and Challenges of Africa” which was organized by the Muslim World League (MWL) in cooperation with Omdurman Islamic University and Renaissance and Civilizational Communication Forum in Sudan in the presence of the MWL Secretary-General, Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulmohsin Al-Turki, Chairman of the Islamic Fiqh Council, Dr. Issam Ahmed Al-Bashir and the Saudi Charge d'affaires in Sudan, Suleiman Bin Ali Al-Badir.
The Secretary-General of Muslim World League (MWL) Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulmohsin Al-Turki visited the International University of Africa in Sudan on 4/6/1434 A.H. and was received by its Rector Dr. Kamal Obeid and other officials of the university.
At the outset of visit, Dr. Al-Turki listened to a detailed presentation about the university and its inception, objectives and number of its colleges as well as its efforts in the service of Islam and Muslims in Africa.
