It is clear that earthy philosophies are fiascos, as they completely failed in bringing happiness to mankind. When thoughts adopted by theses philosophies attempt to solve a particular economic, social, political problem, they merely complicate it and turn it into a crisis.

It is known that man does not possess an intellect devoid of emotions and tendencies that often push him to sometimes do charity and often do evil. Therefore, human intellect, it will tend to be attracted to personal whims and desires if it is governed by heavenly revelation. Thus, it will consequently lead man to commit things that destruct him morally and even physically and justifies for him every bad conduct and beautifies for him crimes and sins. Therefore, it was essential to have a heavenly law that guide man and educate his soul and help him free   himself from the incarceration of whims and desires.

Earthy philosophies or non-revealed religions are full of illusions mixed up with myths. They contradict with the heavenly legislature, intellect, nature, and materials conveyed to us by exegeses. Therefore, there dire need of  dialogue with those professing such philosophies with a view to encouraging them to respect human souls and not to preventing man from reaching resolution to what is considered right , true and  authentic.

In fact no international program for dialogue among nations and peoples can only succeed by a comprehensive dialogue for the salvation of mankind from what it is suffering now. Therefore, Muslims are  supposed to be concerned more than any other religious community with the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz Al-Saud for convention this international Islamic Conference for Dialogue is a bold step that will no doubt benefit both Muslim Ummah and mankind as whole, as dialogue leads to exchange of views which dissolve the ignition of conflicts among individuals and groups.

It is very difficult to make real distinction among the following earthy philosophies (belief) in Southeast Asia region, because they are very similar to each other in rituals.

Buddhism: This is popular in Japan, China, India, Korea, Cambodia and Sri Lanka and other countries.

Hinduism: It is spread in particular in India and is based on strata system and social segregation among people.

Jainism: It is an intellectual movement that attempted to liberate people from the power of Hindu Religion and is based on hard physical exercises. Furthermore, Jains believe in not harming any living creature and in reincarnation and there is neither greater soul nor Greater Creator for these universes and that the souls of people and animals are eternal and are subject to reincarnation.

Confucianism: Confucian this is based on the teachings of the Chinese philosopher Confucian. Rituals of this philosophy were practiced in before Christ in China and they were carried out from generation to generation till the philosophy of Confucianism became the official religion of the state. The philosophy has nine principal books which are considered sacred.

Taoism: This is a Chinese philosophy based on the writings of  Lao-tzu. It means a way or work style but Confucians used it as a correct way for moral, social and political work. It is in fact a philosophy that invites people to abandon war and weapon so that people can live an ideal life.

Sikhism: It is a religion that was developed in Punjab in the late 15th century      and is based on a belief that there is only one God. It was founded by ghronank, who was born in a Hindu environment a pagan family and lived in Islamic atmosphere and was affected by certain Muslim Sufism (Easter   n mysticism).

The following are some of the positive aspects of these philosophies:

+ In Hindus Sacred Book (GITA) Krishna's teachings included the following:

(The true ascetic who hates no one seeks to satisfy his desire and that he sees nothing but the truth)

+ In the seven principles of Jainism philosophy there are the following two ones:

  • 1- The disciple takes undertakes before the leading priest that he conducts himself well and abandon bad manners.

2- Disciples are advised to observe piety and to be precautious in their sayings and deeds and that they avoid inflicting harm on any one whatever despised he may be.

+ In the teachings of Buddha we find the following:

The respect for the life of both man and animal is considered one of the most significant Buddhist ethics, as no Buddhist is allowed to kill an animal in an entertainment such as hunting.

Gandhi says that," Islam is the voice of the truth , and when the West was in the deep darkness of ignorance the light of Islam rose up as an illuminating star in the horizon of the East "

Furthermore, Former Indian Prim Minister Jowahir Lal Nehru said in his book titled" From Prison to Presidency"," Islam has left conspicuous print on the culture of India. In fact Muslims taught Indians styles of eating and clothing and that Islam has put an end for the dominant barbaric traditions dominant in India such as burning of the wife of a man after the death of her husband. "

The dialogue, which is necessitated by the current circumstances and to which the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques called and adopted by the Muslim World League ,   differs from the spirit and nature of religious debates , as its objective is to combat Fitna " dissention" and help avoid occurrence of fierce onslaught and prevents repeated insult directed against both Islam and Prophet of Islam {BUPH)
