Today, the world is witnessing painful phenomena at many levels, robbing the world’s wise men of all faith of their sleep. Humanity is suffering from family disintegration, moral decay, environmental pollution, wars and conflicts that bled the hearts of people imbued with reason, and created an
extremely disturbing situation prompting them to seek a way out and rid humanity of pain.
Men of wisdom realize this bitter reality and are appalled by the condition of our world. They work relentlessly looking for solutions to the challenges threatening the future of humanity and its social peace. In this context, the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud
launched his historical initiative calling for the dialogue among followers of religions and cultures, being aware of the great hope pinned on inter faith constructive dialogue that can solve many conflicts and social ills as well as epidemics experienced by all societies. Religion is the main component in guiding moral, educational and growth tendencies in the life of humanity.
The Muslim World League had the privileged honor to organize both great conferences under the patronage of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques in Makkah and Madrid, and shall never spare any effort in developing this initiative to achieve and reach more goals as set by the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques through the conference on dialogue of the “Initiative of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques on inter religious dialogue and its impact on disseminating human values” organized here in Geneva with the participation of a large group of eminent thinkers and leaders of followers of different world religions and cultures, seeking to promote common human values, and to start up practical programs to meet global challenges.
