Makkah, Sha'ban 3, 1436, May 21, 2015, SPA -- The Islamic Fiqh Academy of the Muslim World League (MWL) has supported, in its 22nd session, what has been made by the Arab States' coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in response to the request of the legitimate government in Yemen, to maintain its security and stability, stressing that this is a legitimate duty evidenced by the compulsory religious texts to fight the unjust if it doesn't respond to the efforts of reconciliation.
In a statement issued today on the events in Yemen, the Academy said 'The MWL's Islamic Fiqh Academy held its 22nd in Makkah, headed by Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh and the attendance of the Academy's members which was held during the period from 10 to 13 May 2015 to discuss the momentous events that took place in Yemen, led to the destabilization of Yemen's security and stability due to what has been done by Houthi group and its backers, the breakers of legitimacy in that country resulted in the Academy's need to look at these events in response to the order of Allah Almighty, who commanded the scholars to show the right for the people and not to conceal it,'
MWL's Islamic Fiqh Academy described, in its statement, what was done by Houthi group, those who fought with them and supported them as one of the worst kind of oppression and corruption on earth for it shook the stability of Yemen and harmed its security by killing the innocent, bloodshed, detention of the head of State, trying to kill him and not to bow to his obedience.
The statement supported what was done by the Arab coalition countries led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in response to the request of the legitimate government in Yemen, to maintain its security and stability, asserting that this is a religious duty evidenced by the religious texts imperative to fight the unjust if it doesn't respond to the efforts of reconciliation.
The Academy called on the Islamic Republic of Iran not to interfere in the affairs of Islamic countries, and not to raise conflicts among peoples, nations and organizations, and contribute to the unity of the Islamic nation and its peace, instead of spreading sedition, division and infighting.
It also supported the legitimate Yemeni government and the Yemeni people represented by popular resistance and its persistence to defeat the aggressor in support of Yemen's legitimate government, calling on all Yemenis to support their brothers in their legitimate position.
The scholars participating in the Academy extended sincere thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Kings; Princes and Presidents of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States as well as to Arab and Islamic countries participating in the Operation of 'Determination Storm' for their legitimate support and Islamic help for Yemen in its difficult ordeal, and operation of 'Renewal of Hope'.
They also extended thanks to the countries that condemned Houthis' aggression and their supporters.
