Kano - A delegation of the Muslim World League (MWL) led by the MWL Secretary-General, Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Turki today visited a number of educational institutions in the Nigerian city of Kano.

The delegation was accompanied during the visit by the Minister of Higher Education in the State of Kano, Dr. Omar Abdullah and the Consul-General of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Majid Muhammad Al-Qahtani.

Kano - The Kano state government in Nigeria organized a seminar that was attended by a number of political, social and cultural leaders and most prominently the state governor Dr. Muhammad Musa.

The Secretary-General of Muslim World League (MWL) Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Turki gave a speech at the seminar in which he talked about the role of the Muslim World League in the service of Muslims across the world through its councils, bodies, offices and Islamic centers spread all over the world.

Dr. Turki meets with the Islamic Scholars in Gabon

The Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Mohsin Al-Turki received at his residence in Libreville, Gabon, on Tuesday 05.21.1434 H, the Muslim scholars of Gabon headed by Sheikh Ismail Hussain Osa the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs, with the participation of, the Adviser to the President of Gabon Dr. Ali Akbar Aununga, and the Director of the Office of the Muslim World League Sheikh Mohammed Saleh Hamid.

Emir Kano meets secretary general

The delegation of the Muslim World League which is headed by Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Mohsin Al-Turki, Secretary General of the Muslim World League, and is currently on a visit to Nigeria met with the Emir of Kano, Dr. Alhaji Ado Bayrou who welcomed the delegation and highlighted the many efforts of the League in the field of calling to Islam (da’wah), looking after mosques and building schools all over Africa.

The governor of Kano state Mr. Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso, met at his office, with the delegation of the Muslim World League headed by the Secretary General of the Muslim World League Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Mohsin Al-Turki.

HE The Consul General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mr. Majid Muhammad Al-Qahtani, Director General of conferences and studies at the League Mr. Rahmtulah Bin Enayatullah Ahmed and the general manager of public relations Mr. Mohammed bin Saeed Almajdouie were also present at the meeting.

Namadi Sambo, the Vice President of Nigeria, inaugurated the conference in Sokoto, on Friday 17/5/1434 H, which is organized by Sokoto State Government in conjunction with the Muslim World League.

Both the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Mohsin Al-Turki, and the Sokoto State Governor, Aliyu Wamakko were present at the inauguration ceremony along with a number of notable religious scholars, heads of Islamic organizations and representatives of different religious and cultural groups in Nigeria.
