The Muslim World League (the League) has strongly condemned the two suicidal attacks that occurred nearby Maiduguri, the capital city of the Northeastern Borno State, Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Vehicle crash attack that targeted an assembly of scores of pedestrians in the central sub-division of the city of Barcelona, Spain, an act that led to the death and injury of scores of victims.
H.E. Muslim World League Secretary General Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Ibn Abdulkarim Alissa described - in a statement issued by him in this connection - these heinous crimes as a regretful barbaric image of terrorism which was represented in its model of abominable hatred for peace and coexistence.
His Excellency Dr. Alissa emphasized that these terrorist attacks that happened in the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the vehicle crash incident for pedestrian civilians in Barcelona, Spain reflects the really ugly face of terrorism that topped the list of the various forms of extremism, evil and hatred which unfortunately and vigorously seek to create division among people.
Finally, His Excellency Dr. Alissa called upon the leaders of all countries, Security Council and international organizations to make further efforts and solidarity to eliminate the evil of terrorism from the face of the earth; and that he expressed his sincere condolences for the relatives of the victims and wished the injured speedy recovery.
