The Secretariat General of the Muslim World League in Makkah has praised the announcement for forming a 34-Nation Ant- Terrorism Islamic Military Alliance , with a joint operation Center set up in Riyadh to coordinate and support anti-terrorism military operations, develop programs and mechanisms required to boost these efforts.
This incident was carried by a statement issued by H.E. Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdelmohsin Al-Turki, Secretary General of the Muslim World League (the League), who said, " The Muslim World League does applaud the announcement for establishing the a 34-Nation Ant- Terrorism Islamic Military Alliance led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a joint operation center in Riyadh to coordinate and support military actions as well as develop programs and mechanisms required to back such efforts. The League considers the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in countering terrorism and dismantling its cells unique and distinctive experience."
His Excellency Dr. Alturki further stated that this blessed step is seen as a suitable fulfillment for the aspirations of all Muslims, who are naturally looking forward to a broader joint international cooperation to fight the scourge of terrorism and ensure its eradication. Furthermore, the League has reiterated this tendency at its various conferences, events and activities, the most prominent of which was the Islamic International Conference on “Islamic and Counter-Terrorism.”, which was held in Holy Makkah under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, between 3-6/6/1436H (22-25/2/2015). The participants in the conference have called on Arab and Muslim countries for added cooperation with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in fighting terrorism.
" The most significant recommendations of the Conference comprised the call for the integrated strategic plan for protection against terrorism, taking advantage of the relevant experiment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and promotion of international cooperation in the combat of terrorism" added H. E. Dr. Alturki
The League's Secretary General has underlined that this Alliance is the type of the good deed ordained by Allah to Muslims. Allah said in Sura Al-Ma’ida, verse 2 “And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.” He said that today the Ummah is in dire need of such cooperation and solidarity to support Muslims who are suffering afflictions and tribulations in different countries .
His Excellency has praised the sagacious leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, HRH Crown Prince Mohammad Ibn Naif , and HRH Deputy Crown Prince Muhammad Ibn Salman for the sincere efforts they make in security Muslims' ranks and solidarity, in advancing the combat of terrorism, and in supporting the international efforts to eradicate it.
He also confirmed that the League will double the efforts in fighting terrorism, and will cooperate with this blessed Alliance. He also lauded was what confirmed by HRH Deputy Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman at the press conference regarding the necessity of undertaking the concerted regional and international efforts in this connection.
Finally, H. E. Dr. Alturki supplicated Allah Almighty to protect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in particular , other Muslim countries, and all human societies in general from the bane of terrorism, and the deviated ideologies nourishing it, to crown with success these efforts.
