Kuching, Malaysia, 03 Safar 1437 AH, November 15, 2015, SPA -- The Governor of Malaysian State of Sarawak Dr. Abdutayib Mahmoud opened, in the presence of the Secretary General of Muslim World League Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdul-Mohsen Al-Turki, the 'World Peace' conference organized by the League in cooperation with the government of the state of Sarawak in Kuching city today.
In his speech Dr. Al-Turki thanked the governor of Sarawak for his patronage and opening the Conference, welcoming all participants in the conference including scholars, researchers and preachers.
Dr Al-Turki said, 'The global peace, security and coexistence between religious and civilizational different categories were enhanced by a number of documents and international covenants on human rights and the means of implementation of human rights organizations and others, and in spite of these efforts, the world is witnessing a reality different from that.'
He added, 'The message of Islam is a universal message for the whole humanity, seeking peace and tolerance among all peoples, and the world today needs peace and positive coexistence more than ever.
