Islamic Universities League

Naif Arab University for Security Sciences is proud to hold this meeting which is being headed by Prof. Abdullah Abdulmuhsin Alturki, the General Secretary of the World Muslim League and the President of the Executive Council of the Islamic Universities League. Also in attendance are the Presidents and executive officials of 15 Islamic and Arab Universities.

This meeting shall discuss a number of important subjects including the following:

- The annual report of the Islamic Universities League

- The budget of the Islamic Universities League

- The preparation of an encyclopedia highlighting the Islamic texts from the Quran and hadith that are connected to international and humanitarian law in warfare

- The establishment of an annual prize given to the best university

- The establishment of centers of excellence in Islamic universities

- The discussion of reports on the spread and growth of the Arabic language.

The President of the University Dr. Jamaan ben Raghosh welcomed the attendees and conveyed the greetings of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed ibn Naif ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Interior Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences.

He highlighted that holding this meeting is part of the regional role of the University and that in 2009 the University held 41st meeting of the Association of Arab Universities, which had the great honor of being presided over by His Majesty King Abdullah, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

The President stressed that this meeting comes as an embodiment of the cooperation, coordination, and exchange of academic experience between universities, councils, and research centers to contribute to actualizing comprehensive security. He added that the subject of security must be given the attention that it deserves and should be made part of educational curricula at all levels – stressing the great responsibility that educational institutions have to face these new challenges. 

Prof. Abdullah Abdulmuhsin Alturki, the General Secretary of the World Muslim League and the President of the Executive Council of the Islamic Universities League thanked the University for holding this meeting. He also thanked His Majesty King Abdullah, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Saudi Arabian government for their endless support that enables the actualization of shared goals.
