The Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Mohsin Al-Turki received at his residence in Libreville, Gabon, on Tuesday 05.21.1434 H, the Muslim scholars of Gabon headed by Sheikh Ismail Hussain Osa the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs, with the participation of, the Adviser to the President of Gabon Dr. Ali Akbar Aununga, and the Director of the Office of the Muslim World League Sheikh Mohammed Saleh Hamid. During the reception the scholars expressed the need for an Institution to prepare well qualified Muslim scholars, and building more mosques In Gabon. Currently there are around 150 mosques in Gabon and four major mosques built with the aid from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Chairman of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs assured the gathering that the Muslim scholars of Gabon are working hard to revive the vital role of the mosque in educating people about Islam which includes teaching people, the language of Quran, Arabic.
The Secretary General of the Muslim World League delivered a speech in which he advised the scholars of Gabon to cooperate and spread the true teaching of Islam by following the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and he assured them that the Muslim World League and its institutions well provide their full support to the Muslims in Gabon and will help them in preparing well qualified Muslim scholars.
