Supreme Council of Islamic Affaris in Congo

The Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) met on Saturday 25/5/1434 A.H. in Brazzaville, Congo with Chairman of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs (SCIA), Sheikh Jibril Abdullah Bubaka.     

The meeting which was also attended by the Congo SCIA members discussed the preparations for the seminar on “Islam and Development of Society,” which will be organized by MWL in cooperation with SCIA on Sunday 26/5/1434 A.H.

The SCIA Chairman explained that a number of Imams and preachers will participate in the seminar to discuss the issues of development in Islam and how to benefit from it for different areas of development in Congo and neighboring African countries.

He made it clear that SCIA is keen to take advantage of media for introduction of Islam and has projects of Islamic media including radio and newspapers. He indicated that these projects need support and backing of the MWL.

On his part, Dr. Al-Turki assured that the MWL is ready to cooperate with the SCIA in Congo and he also stressed the importance of scientific planning of Islamic projects that the SCIA intends to implement so as to achieve the expected aims and objectives.
