Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Masjids, the Muslim World League holds the 12th Makkah Conference on: (Islamic Da’wah.. Present and Future)
His Excellency the Secretary General of the Muslim World League and member of the Supreme Council of Ulemas in Saudi Arabia Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdelmohsin Al-Turki said the Rabita is holding the 12th Makkah Conference under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Masjids King Abdullah Bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud on (Islamic Da’wah.. Present and Future). The conference will be held on 3-6/12/1432 H at the MWL’s Headquarters in Makkah.
He also said that the Makkah Conference held every year during the Hajj season is an extension to the first conference called for by King Abdul-Aziz Bin AbdurRahman Al-Saud who invited the scholars for a meeting in the year 1345 H to discuss the current situation of Muslims and the problems they face.
He further stated that the Rabita selected the theme of the 12th Conference; (Islamic Da’wah.. Present and Future) in order to assess the Da’wah’s March and the problems it currently faces. Also, the aim of the conference is to set up diverse programs tailored to the needs of Islamic communities and minorities taking into consideration the Da’wah priorities and methods within the human society.
His Excellency added that invitations were sent to a number of scholars, university professors and to managers of Islamic centers and associations to participate and discuss the Conference’s topic. Research and work papers dealing with its themes will be presented
Dr. Turki said that the participants will discuss the current status of the Islamic Da’wah and its future through four themes comprising diverse topics; they are as follows:
First Theme: Origins of Islamic Da’wah and its Reality
Second Theme: Da’wah and Present Challenges
Third Theme: Islamic Da’wah.. Visions and Expectations
Fourth Theme: the Call to Allah, Revival and Renewal
Dr. Turki expressed his hope that the conference will achieve its Islamic goals. He conveyed his thanks and appreciation on this occasion, to the Custodian of the Two Holy Masjids King Abdullah Bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, to HRH the Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, to the second Deputy Premier HRH Prince Naïf Bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud for their unwavering support to the Rabita and their steadfast assistance to its programs. He beseeched the Almighty Allah to safeguard them an asset to Islam and Muslims.
