Based on International Criminal Law, the brutal crimes perpetrated against Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar (former Burma) are similar to those of ISIS and AlQAEDA
Muslim World League (The League /MWL) has indicated in the statement issued by it that the brutal attacks and genocide to which Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar (former Burma) have been exposed before the very eyes and ears of all people of the world is indeed a mark of disgrace on the face of humanity and an obituary of its ethical values and world order. This disturbing historical chapter in the human and international record , said the League- would be a witness to the extent of failure in halting the massacres that are represented in the crimes of malice and hatred and that were devoid of their human nature and turned into terrifying brutal images which are exported to the world accompanied by boastfulness and challenge.
The League/MWL has emphasized, in the statement issued by it regarding the heinous crimes perpetrated by the terrorist elements in Myanmar (former Burma) against the Rohingya Muslims minority in the country, that these crimes constitute one of the worst, bloodiest and most brutal terrorist images. The statement added that they were no less than the terrorism of ISIS and ALQAEDA in their risky behavior and barbaric crimes; and underlined that keeping silent over them gives strong pretexts to negative concepts towards what the UN community should do in regard to exercising comprehensive will , determination and justice in fighting terrorism and up-rooting all its forms and images.
The statement said that the it is not possible for any individual with clear conscience not to hasten to move against regretful practices of the terrorist elements in Myanmar (Former Burma) and effectively use all capabilities for due intervention for immediate protection and for brining to justice and trial those terrorist elements.. It stressed that any problem in this issue is solved according to ?? local and international options.
The League/MWL continued its statement and mentioned that world peace and world order will be at the test of confidence and credibility when the people see that the crimes of genocides with terrorist acts that increase day by day in their hatred and barbarism without due intervention for stopping them and holding accountable those involved. The statement indicated that such terrifying catastrophe of such magnitude will transfer terrorism encountering them in hatred and barbarism to focalize in these areas with supporting new followers, who can easily and cunningly be trapped and deceived. For, this is the normal attitude of terrorism in exploiting the environment of conflict, disorder and religious instigation for pursuing its criminal agenda.
The League /MWL has called in its statement the international community to take effective and firm decision to confront terrorist massacres in Myanmar (Former Burma) similar to the firm and effective decision it has taken against ISIS and AlQAEDA. This will of course help the world enjoy justice and peace and put the organized terrorist crime before an effective , international strong will, the statement said.
Since the dominant moral trend in defining terrorism( as per the conventional international criminal law that aims to defend peace and justice) is founded on the usage of means that are capable of exploiting terror and dismay for achieving illegitimate organized political, religious, ideological or ethic ends , we remark that the main conditions of the terrorist act have been fulfilled in these barbaric acts such as the presence of violence, coordination and organization , in addition to the state of terror that has been created by such terrorist act , which is anticipated to achieve illegitimate objectives that are far away from private individual ends.
The League/MWL has elucidated in its statement that individual transgresses by any party are to be addressed according to the prevailing law of the governing state; and that they should not be pushed for escalation so as to become in confrontation with a barbaric mustering of organized forces with military support towards defenseless minority on the basis of religious malice tendencies in state of political localization.
Based on the information of the League/MWL that since 03/2/1438H corresponding to 25/082017, the number of casualties (dead people) reached (6334), the injured number was (8349), the number of raped ladies was (500), the number of burned villages was (103), the number of residences set on fire was (23,250), number of those who remained without homes , country or property was (335,000), the number of families that have been displaced and reached Bangladesh was (45,000), the number of displaced, stranded individuals and waiting at the boundaries was (190,000), the number of mosques that have been demolished was (250) and number of schools and institutions that have been destroyed was (80).Furthermore, the suppression authority has closed down all local mosques, schools and institutions.
The League/MWL, in the dimension of its humanitarian and moral message, strongly condemns both these crimes as well as the inactive move towards ending them by the international community which described the victims as belonging to the most suppressed minorities .
The League/MWL, which reiterates in the said statement that it has both denounced every action targeting legitimate freedoms, whether it was directed against Muslims or non-Muslims as well as the repeated humiliating insults against different religious, ideological or sectarian tendencies, declares that it exercises its peaceful legitimate freedom in a number of its localization sites around the world.
The League/MWL statement concluded with applauding the role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in both supporting the issue of Rohingya Muslims at international forums and United Nations Human Rights Council as well as in rendering to them a donation of fifty million Dollars via the various educational and health programs. The country has also commenced hosting them on its soil since 1948 as their current number on the different Saudi cities is approximately (300,000). Furthermore, in response to the call and contacts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with different circles, the UN has condemned the continuous violations against Rohingyas in the horizon of what the human conscience aspires regarding the next and effective move which is intended to put an end for these terrorist massacres.
